Our A level pass rate this year has risen to a fantastic 98.4% and gives Ossett Sixth Form College its best A Level results for 5 years - well above the national average of 97.5%.
43% of entries achieved A or B grades, (including a 5% increase of A grades compared to last year) and again gives us our best top grade results of the last 5 years.
25 individual subjects gained a 100% pass rate - the highest number of subjects achieving such success in recent memory - and this superb achievement is testament to the hard work of staff and students alike over the last two years.
Individual student successes include: Victoria Railton who achieved 4 A grades and 1 B who is going to study Law at Durham University; Ravi Patel and Charlotte Waite who both achieved 4 A grades and intend to study Maths & Economics at LSE and Fashion Marketing at Northumbria Universities respectively; Alexandra Fleming who achieved 3 As and a B, and Nicole Plumstead who achieved 3 As and a C. Other fantastic achievements came from Alexander Clark, Ashleigh Doggett, Alec Rispin, Rachel Shorter, Joanne Codd, Edward Beswick, Hayley Cowsill and Jamie Bates who all achieved 3 straight A grades and Ian Asquith who achieved 2 As, 2Bs and a C grade.
We congratulate all our students and staff for their hard work in achieving an excellent set of results!
