Hi I'm Neil Stott, one of the assistant head teachers at Ossett school. I've been working at the school since 1997. I was appointed as a teacher of Design and Technology and I now teach ICT at the school. Before doing my teacher training at Leeds Metropolitan University I was a miner in the Selby coal field- a very different career to the one I have now. At Ossett I have been an assistant head of year and head of year working with students of all ages. I'm now a member of the senior leadership team and I have many diverse responsibilities. My main roles at present are the leadership of the student support services within the school and the work we do in regards to community cohesion. I oversee the transition of students in to year 7 so I do work closely with the Ossett Junior schools- I am fortunate that I get a chance to see the fantastic work that takes place in them. Ossett is a great place as the students and staff are a pleasure to deal with on a day to day basis. I really do enjoy working at Ossett School.
